Step 1: To register for a login
Fill in fields info as appropriate.
Use a Username easy to remember (be careful with mixing upper and lower cAsE as the login is case sensitive).
Entering a bogus email address will fail registration.
Use your REAL email address and not one of those forwarding addresses. You will have less trouble.
A callsign is not necessary but good to enter it if you have one.
No requirement to enter a password yet as the system will email one to you. You will be able to change it later as explained below.
After filling in the fields on the page, click on the Register button
You will immediately be sent an email which contains a link for you to verify the registration. If you don't receive an email within a few minutes, check your filters. Also, if you use one of those "challenge response" email systems, you will NOT receive this email. Our Robot will not talk to your Robot.
The above email will contain a link to click on to verify your request for login and to activate it. If you don't click to activate, the registration will remain incomplete.
Right after you click on the verify link, you will receive a final email with all of your profile info, including a random password generated by the system. This password can be edited to your own desired choice.
Further, your emails may be filtered
by either your email program or your ISP and it may appear you have not
received a response from our server. Rest assured, a response is
automatically sent within seconds, but may be snagged on your end by
filters. Here is useful info about that:
Step 2: To login
Return to the http://www.antennex.com/guests.html page and click on the login link displayed there.
Should the login fail, best to copy/paste your login into the login box slots. 99% of login failures are from typos, especially if your email program uses Arial sans serif. Best to set your font to something easier to read like Courier if characters appears hard to discern. Even then, better to copy/paste if login fails. The eyes will deceive!
Step 3: To edit your Account Profile
You have almost total control over the info in your Account Profile and changes can be made to better suit. This is done in the Control Panel.
To access the Control Panel, go to:
Login to your account. Check the "Remember Me" button and next time, your login info will be filled in automatically.
Click on the "Edit My Account" link
The "Edit Account Profile" page will be displayed.
Make any edits desired including entering another preferred password and click on the "Update" button.
You will receive a confirmation email of your changes and the next time you login, remember to use the new login if it was changed.
To Renew/extend term of membership:
Following registration above, the membership is usually for a period of one year. You will receive a notice several days before expiration to remind you of the expiration date coming. If you want to renew and extend for another period, do one of the following:
To renew/extend your account, just
use the control panel:
...and cancel your account and re-register which will renew for a year.
...or let it expire and re-register when ready:
If you do not want to renew, do nothing and the term will expire automatically.
The purpose of expiration is to purge the database of stale accounts that haven't been maintained by the user or are inactive for one reason or another.
